Here are some pics from the Oshkosh Candlelight Vigil that took place to honor the 2000 fallen troops and to call for peace. Thanks to Oshkosh Campus Greens Chair Andrew Sabai for the fine photography.

Over 2000 US troops have died in a war that many believe was unjustified and wrong. In addition to these deaths, over 40,000 Iraqi civilians have been killed. Currently there is an interesting discussion taking place on peace and how to achieve it best: speaking the truth or sitting on your couch in silence. Check out Stew Rieckman's Blog Post.

If you do feel that the war is wrong and demand accountability and an end to the violence, there are two groups that actively opposed the war from the beginning - check out the Winnebago Peace & Justice Center and the Lake Winnebago Green Party to become involved and help bring an end to war.
